As a unique characteristic, all Monfors CNC machines have a maintenance- and wear-free longitudinal guiding system. This hydrostatic main guide is free of any frictional contact independent of the rate of traverse. Even increments of 0,001 mm are traversed without any stick-slip.

The round guiding column provides further advantages, such as:

• High stiffness to counteract the cutting forces
• Very good damping of vibrations
• So, long tool-lives can be achieved
• Ultimate turning accuracy
